How sermon content works

Planning Center Publishing remains the source of truth for sermon fields. Kleis imports each published episode as a native WordPress Episode post and creates related channel, series, and speaker terms.

A later sync can replace synchronized fields edited directly in WordPress. Build shared presentation in WordPress templates instead of manually redesigning each imported episode.

What you can design

Episode posts work with WordPress templates and Query Loops. Kleis adds blocks for sermon audio, episode resources, and Church Center links, while WordPress controls typography, layout, archives, and responsive behavior.

Create a sermon archive with a WordPress Query Loop.
Build one Episode template shared by all synchronized sermons.
Link channel, series, and speaker archive pages.
Use artwork as the Episode featured image.

Updates and limitations

A full manual sync imports or refreshes Publishing episodes. Optional Planning Center webhooks can queue individual episode changes in the background.

Only episodes published to the connected Planning Center library can be imported. Source fields and media availability depend on the data supplied by Planning Center. An active Kleis subscription and connection are required for new synchronization.
